Mysterious events are piling up in the oceans around the world: whales destroy boats, deep-sea crabs attack beaches, and mussels paralyze container ships. A previously unknown ice worm destabilizes continental slopes in the oceans and triggers tsunamis. A deadly pathogen is spreading through drinking water from the coasts.
